Waste Warrior program Everyday Zero app

Reducing waste generated at our assets is an ongoing and important opportunity for Dexus and our customers. This year, we launched the Waste Warrior program across our office portfolio, giving customers the data, tools and recognition they need to improve recycling performance and meet their own sustainability goals.

The program launched during National Recycling Week in November 2025 with three offerings for our customers; monthly tenant-level waste reporting, a recycling competition and AI-enabled waste sorting through the Everyday Zero app.

We now provide waste reports to around 700 customers at over 20 office assets which share tailored recycling rates and waste volumes for each tenancy. Reports are delivered instantly to customers and support them to track waste and recycling rates over time and respond to evolving sustainability data needs.

To recognise progress, we introduced a monthly Waste Warrior competition that celebrates the most improved recyclers in each building. Property teams identify winners using the four core waste streams, supporting consistent and accurate results, with recognition shared through asset portals and lobby screens.

We also rolled out Everyday Zero, an AI-enabled tool that helps people identify the correct bin for different waste types and reinforces recycling knowledge through an interactive quiz. We activated the app in office lobbies during National Recycling Week and are now rotating it through our assets, positively influencing better sorting awareness and behaviours.

In FY27, we will expand Everyday Zero to more sites, refine how customers access their waste reports and tailor offerings for National Recycling Week 2026.
