TRIBE emerges for LGBTI inclusion
The Dexus TRIBE network was established in August 2019 to promote LGBTI+ inclusion, enable psychological safety in the workplace, and act as a forum for advising Dexus on responses to LGBTI+ issues that impact our people. The network is open to all employees across the group, including those who identify as LGBTI+ and allies who want to be visible and show support. Membership has grown to 149 Dexus employees across Australia. TRIBE members have come together to drive LGBTI+ inclusion at key events such as Wear It Purple Day, Fair Day and the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
TRIBE has also aligned with InterBUILD, which aims to be the leading building, construction and property network driving LGBTI+ inclusion. TRIBE supported the work of InterBUILD at an information stall at Mardi Gras Fair Day in February 2020, as well as hosting a webinar on the Religious Discrimination Bill on behalf of InterBUILD in May 2020.
TRIBE continues to grow and expand its influence on inclusion at Dexus. The network which has an active Executive sponsor from the Group Management Committee, participated in the Australian Workplace Equality Index for the first time in 2020 and will use the benchmark to enhance its strategy into the future.
