Resilience and adaptation are central to Dexus’s climate action priority area in our sustainability strategy. We regularly assess the physical climate risk exposure of our assets to inform how we adapt asset design and operations to evolving environmental conditions.
Decarbonising our platform for long-term value

Dexus is focused on decarbonising its Platform to mitigate climate-related risks and safeguard long-term value. Through a targeted asset decarbonisation program, we are driving the next phase of energy efficiency and electrification across the Dexus Platform.
Our program evaluates each asset’s energy and emissions profile to identify key opportunities for efficiency improvements and electrification. Decarbonisation initiatives are prioritised based on their emissions reduction potential and return on investment, and are embedded into asset planning.
In 2024 we developed 23 initial decarbonisation roadmaps for office assets. This year, we expanded the program to include four additional assets in our healthcare and retail portfolios. Our 2025 roadmaps are addressing new sector-specific challenges, supported by deeper collaboration with customers and partners. For these additional sectors, we are leveraging existing energy efficiency programs to better understand and test asset-specific initiatives, challenges and opportunities in retail and healthcare.
Calvary Private Hospital exemplifies the collaborative approach we are taking with each asset to achieve shared efficiency goals and deliver a customer-first strategy. Its roadmap reflects a tailored approach that considers the unique operational demands and specialised plant of a healthcare facility. It incorporates the customer’s ambition to install rooftop solar, alongside broader initiatives focused on electrification and energy efficiency.
Meanwhile, completed roadmaps are being implemented to embed electrification and energy efficiency into asset planning. Assets including QV Melbourne, One Farrer Place and One Bligh Street in Sydney, and 100 Mount Street in North Sydney are progressing detailed electrification plans aligned with their roadmaps.
Our tailored decarbonisation approach is enabling Dexus and our customers to integrate climate considerations into asset planning and electrify operations to meet evolving energy needs – now and into the future.
