Overview

Powerco is New Zealand's second largest electricity and gas distribution company. Powerco services over 444,000 connections (around 344,000 electricity and over 100,000 gas connections), with an energy distribution network spread across the upper-central, central and lower areas of New Zealand's North Island. 

Powerco is regulated by New Zealand Commerce Commission for its monopoly of energy distribution services to customers.
