Macarthur Wind Farm

Overview

Macarthur is one of the largest operating wind farms in the southern hemisphere and comprises 140 Vestas V112 turbines totaling 420MW of capacity. The wind farm spans 5,500 hectares of land and delivers enough green energy to power the equivalent of 180,000 homes.

The project achieved practical completion in January 2013 and has limited revenue and operational risk over its 25-year concession period through contractual arrangements with counterparty, AGL.
