Overview
Melbourne Airport is an award-winning airport. It was voted the Best Airport in Australia and the Pacific at the Skytrax World Airport Awards in 2025 for the third consecutive year. It was also the first Australian capital city airport to return to pre-COVID levels for monthly international visitation back in December 2023, setting a new record for the international passengers and then repeating that feat again in December 2024.
In September 2024, Melbourne Airport received ministerial approval for development of its third runway, which will facilitate further passengers in the years to come.
