Dexus offers a number of employee benefits in line with contemporary Australian market practice. Benefits are offered regardless of full-time or part-time employment status, but may be pro-rated in the case of leave and life insurance benefits which are based on the employee's regular salary level. Temporary employees engaged via a labour hire agency or contracting agreement receive benefits from their primary employer, the cost of which is factored into the hourly rate or service fee paid by Dexus. Temporary employees are not eligible for the following benefits: leave benefits, life and disability insurance, membership to the corporate discount program, study assistance.

Dexus's Parental Leave Policy states that all permanent Dexus employees with greater than 12 months service are entitled to parental leave. The policy will also apply to casuals who have worked on a regular and systematic basis for a period of greater than 12 months and who have a reasonable expectation of ongoing employment. Maximum-term direct employees, agency temps, independent contractors or consultants are not entitled to parental leave.

In FY15, 187 female Dexus employees were entitled to take parental leave of which four women took parental leave. In FY15 eight female Dexus employees returned to work after parental leave ended, resulting in a female return to work retention rate of 89%. At 30 June 2015, three female Dexus employees who returned to work in FY14 were still employed twelve months after their return to work, resulting in a retention rate of 50%.

In FY15, 166 male Dexus employees were entitled to take parental leave of which three men took parental leave. In FY15 three male Dexus employees returned to work after parental leave ended, resulting in a male return to work retention rate of 100%. At 30 June 2015, one male Dexus employee who returned to work in FY14 was still employed twelve months after their return to work, resulting in a retention rate of 100%.

Zero percent. As Dexus employees are largely office based, they are not exposed to a large OHS risk. Dexus has formally elected Health & Safety representatives as opposed to an OHS committee.

Occupational health and safety statistics for employees are available within the 2015 Dexus Performance Pack. During FY15 Dexus recorded 15 contractor-related near misses and 38 personal injuries (7 female, 31 male) across Dexus managed properties including two office developments where Dexus has appointed an external Principal Contractor.
