  • Dexus Wholesale Property Fund (DWPF) has had a consistently high level of interest from investors seeking to enter DWPF 
  • The Fund undertook a $250 million equity raising in March 2017, with proceeds used to retire debt 
  • The equity raising was fully subscribed, providing existing unitholders with the opportunity to increase their investment and adding one new investor to the Fund
Establishment of new healthcare joint venture 
  • Recognising the healthcare property sector as a logical extension to its funds management platform, Dexus established a joint venture with Commercial & General in June 2017, launching a new unlisted wholesale healthcare property fund in FY18 
  • The establishment of the fund is in line with Dexus’s strategic objective of being a wholesale partner of choice in Australian property and provides investors an opportunity to invest in:
    • a sector that is supported by compelling demand drivers, supported by ageing demographics and population growth
    • a sector of substantial scale with healthcare being the largest of all the non-traditional property sectors 
    • a portfolio of quality seed and potential pipeline assets with a completion value of $760 million, and strong property attributes including long lease 
    • a fund that will leverage the property expertise of the Dexus platform to ensure the delivery of high quality risk adjusted returns
